I value bringing harmonious awareness to the people I engage with through Zen-based meditative and Taiji (Tai Chi) movement experiences. These help us understand one another and participate in our world in healthy and productive ways. EastWest Works is the organization that I founded to express these practices.

About this activity

Learn and practice meditation techniques, with aromatherapy breaks.

If your group is sensitive to smell, we can just focus on meditation and exclude aromatherapy.

What you'll do

  • Let's gather up, and greet one another.
  • We'll learn and practice three classical meditation methods.
  • Between the first and second meditation, we'll take a few moments to clear our senses with some natural fragrance essences.
  • Verbal instruction will be given, and the meditation periods will be short.
  • Participants will be able to give brief feedback and ask questions along the way.

What to prepare

  • If the activity takes place at your venue our office, wear comfortable clothes and be prepared to sit still for short periods. Prepare chairs or cushions. We can use either incenses or spritzers with essential oils (no burning needed) for aromatherapy.
  • At our studio: we'll remove our shoes before entering our studio. During colder seasons, people should have warm socks on or with them (and any items that will make them feel comfy). We will use essential oil spritzers for aromatherapy.

Booking with Spaciously

Book an activity with a few clicks

To book, follow the secure checkout process on the website. This will reserve your host's time.

If you need extra help with anything, just leave us a note in the Comments field! We're happy to help with food and venue recommendations.

After you check out, you will receive a confirmation email and a receipt. Very shortly after that, our team will reach out to connect you with your host and help with the logistics and questions!

Expect no extra fees or charges

All prices are upfront. There are no extra charges beyond what you pay when you book. In 99% of cases, hosts won't ask for tips because they're already included in the price.

All activities are private

All activities you see on Spaciously are private. You will get a dedicated instructor. You will also get either an entire venue or a section of a venue to yourselves.

All activities are available

If our calendar allows you to pick a date and time, your activity is available! In the rare scenario that your host has an emergency and can't make the date, it's our responsibility to find you a substitute host or a substitute activity quickly. If you don't like the options, we'll send you a full refund.

Ask us a question

We are here to make sure your team gets the event they will enjoy. Helping you find the best activity for your team is the best part of our job. Trust Spaciously hosts

We work only with highly reliable hosts. Every single one of our hosts is a small business owner. We either saw them in action, received a recommendation from another client or had a personal call to go over their proposed activity. Small business owners spend years mastering their skills. They put great care into planning your experience.

Organize a team-building activity at your office

People love when they don't have to go out of their way for team-building. Invite the activity host to travel to your venue by selecting the option "My venue/office."

Some building management companies don't allow certain activities, e.g. cooking if you don't have a kitchen. Make sure you check this before you book.

Most buildings require a certificate of insurance. A one-off certificate of insurance costs ~$150 online, but 99% of the time, our hosts can provide one for free. There may be some back-and-forth with your building management to agree on the coverage, but we are happy to collaborate with you on this.

Cancel or change your reservation

Refer to the cancelation policy on each listing when you book to see how much time you have to cancel your reservation. To cancel, answer the email thread we will start with you or contact hello@spaciously.io.

Regardless of the cancelation policy, hosts usually allow you to move the time of your booking a bit or to add a few more people. We are very collaborative when it comes to small event adjustments. Ultimately, we all want your event to be successful because we want to be your partners for a long time!

Reviews of Spaciously

I had a concierge service except the price wasn’t a secret. I knew exactly what I was getting. And the communication was right there with it.
