Shunan Teng is the founder and CEO of Tea Drunk, a New York City tea company that has become the destination for those seeking exceptional tea and tea knowledge.

Shunan is known for her relentless in-the-field pursuit of tea knowledge and her work in preserving Chinese tea traditions. She travels to historic tea mountains in China every year to harvest and make tea alongside the heritage farmers.

She is an avid educator on tea and has spoken on the subject matter at many companies and institutions including Yale University, Christie’s, Van Cleef & Arpels, World Tea Expo, and Stony Brook University. Teng collaborated with the Metropolitan Museum of Art to execute a temporary Chinese tea house in the museum and is the educator for TED Ed lesson – The History of Tea.

At the age of 19, while working as a doorman in bustling New York City, my journey into the world of fragrances unexpectedly began. A chance encounter with a resident hosting a scent-making class ignited a passion within me. Little did I know, that moment would shape the course of my life.

Inspired by that serendipitous experience, I vowed to someday create my own candle company. A decade later, amid the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, I found myself with the gift of time. Determined to fulfill my promise to myself, Dojo was born.

We started small, selling Dojo Candles at local farmers markets. As time went on, fueled by our passion for fragrance and dedication to quality, we expanded our offerings. Today, Dojo boasts a diverse range of products including Eau De Parfums, Wax Melts, Room and Linen Sprays, Reed Diffusers, and Roll-On Oils. Each product is crafted with care and attention to detail, reflecting our commitment to excellence and the art of scent. SCENT BY HEAVEN, a small candle store, dedicated to the crafting of hand poured candles. This candle store produces small amounts of candles typically much smaller than the large-scale corporate candle stores and it is independently owned. We are characterized by our emphasis on quality, aroma and unique candle techniques.

I’m a Columbus, OH native, a licensed marriage and family therapist turned Creative Mindfulness Coach, and a singer/songwriter. I provide creative mindfulness programming to individuals, groups, and organizations to help them manage stress, enhance connection, and access self-compassion, gratitude, wonder, creativity, and joy.

I’m also co-founder of The Be Sanctuary, a mindfulness-based wellness community in Upper Arlington, OH, as well as a Sr. Artist-in-Residence at Ohio Health Cancer Care Centers here I provide vocal/guitar music and sound baths to patients and their families.

My presentations/workshops/retreats orient participants to the definition, purpose, and benefits of mindfulness as I invite attendees to consider and experience out-of-the-box (and off-of-the-meditation-cushion!) mindfulness practices.

SlowDigz was established by Lisa Rogers. She first learned about ecoprinting while working as a full-time science teacher and fell in love with the process of obtaining prints from nature. This sparked a fire that led to a decade of experimentation and research through books, workshops and numerous fails. Leaving full time teaching, this passion became the small business, SlowDigz, Eco Designs.

SlowDigz celebrates unique, natural style through botanical pieces to wear and surround the home. Lisa shares her love of botanical printing at workshops, stores and local markets. Lisa, an avid gardener, resides in Sebastopol with her son, husband and cat.

Hi, I'm Mike, the owner of Z. Cioccolato. Sweets have always been my weakness and retail has always been in my blood.

I was just 14 years old working as a box boy in my grandfather's department store in Humboldt County when I fell in love with retail. Years later my weakness for sweets sprang to life when I opened Lickity Split, my own frozen yogurt shop.

After that, I found myself back in retail selling pillows for an Italian bedding company, but I couldn’t get my mind off the idea of owning my own sweets shop.

In 2015 I learned the original owners of Z. Cioccolato were retiring and I leapt at the opportunity. And that’s how I went from selling pillows to being a Chocolatier!

Z. Cioccolato is world famous for layered fudges using innovative and seasonal flavors. Our artisan chefs craft these fudges 6 pounds at a time featuring over 100 varieties of fudge throughout the year.

Z. Cioccolato fudge featured on national television shows like Modern Living with Kathy Ireland, Unique Sweets and more.

Throwing has always been Steve Allen’s first love in clay. Despite the many creative turns his artwork has taken over the years, he has never strayed far from the wheel. It’s rare to find any of his work that doesn’t include a thrown element. Steve’s work is a cross section of techniques developed over more than thirty years that includes figurative, steampunk, books, trains, toys, whimsical animals, functional pottery, painting and Raku. Many of these items touch on identity, personal history, social, political and environmental concerns.

Steve began a career as machinist in 1983 and worked in the machining trades until 2005. His love for throwing pottery began in 1985 at the Salt Lake Art Center and for sculpting while an undergrad at San Francisco State University, 2001-05. Margaret is a working artist from Houston, Texas. She has been teaching art in private schools for the past 15 years. Nadia is a co-founder of Shot of Art, a family business established with her husband a few years ago.

I was inspired by our children. I wanted to create a space where my kids and our family could paint without any restrictions. Fully immersing ourselves in the process without fear of making a mess or being open to new experiences laid the foundation for our concept. We explored the market, and we didn’t find any place that matched our feelings and main dream to recreate for adults the same feeling where you can wake up your inner child and craft art with your own hands without a special artistic background. Whether it's drawing on walls, painting with neon paint in the dark, or shooting from a paint gun onto canvas, the only thing we ask you to bring with you is a good mood!

The feedback we receive gives us a lot of energy and inspiration to expand. We first emerged in New York, and now we’re also in Chicago, Houston, and Los Angeles, with San Francisco coming soon.

I see completely relaxed and smiling people leaving our studio after an hour of art meditation. This Bowdoin College alum once sprinted his way to four college track records. Now, he races between writing cookbooks and perfecting recipes. His "Essential Chinese Hot Pot Cookbook" hit shelves in 2021, and he's currently rolling out his second book all about bagels.

It was a chance encounter with torn billboards lining the streets of New York City that ignited Ecker's passion for collage art. Captivated by the raw beauty of the tattered advertisements, he found himself compelled to recreate their essence through his own artistic lens, and thus, "Get Lost Collages" was born.

Ecker's philosophy is simple yet profound: to provide a sanctuary where people can escape the confines of technology, free their minds, and tap into their childlike selves. It's a space where comparison and judgment are left at the door, and self-expression reigns supreme. At the age of six, I suffered a severe burn accident that left scars all over my body, extremely sensitive skin, and self-confidence issues that lasted well into my adulthood. Growing up, I pressured myself to conform to beauty standards and compared myself to flawless models, which hurt my self-esteem. It was then my mom decided to help me.

In our family, Ayurveda, yoga, and holistic living are integral. My mom researched natural remedies for my sensitive skin, drawing from ancient Ayurvedic recipes. Together, we began experimenting with these ingredients to create natural skincare products.

As I began to use these products, my skin became healthier than ever before. But more importantly, I felt confident and beautiful in my own skin. This transformation inspired me to create my own natural skincare line, Spell Bathing, as a labor of love.

I hope to inspire others to embrace themselves as they are and to see their imperfections as something beautiful.

Aruna was born in South Korea, and grew up in a buddhist monastery where every meal included home-grown and locally-harvested vegetables, served in vibrant and nutritious ways. Aruna came to San Francisco in 2001, and while San Francisco is now home, the memory of those flavors is as fresh today as it was then.
