What you'll do

Bojagi is a practice of mindful, sustainable gift wrapping. In this session, you’ll learn the traditional Korean art of wrapping gifts using cloth. Bojagi combines mindfulness with sustainability, offering an eco-friendly alternative to conventional gift wrapping.

During the workshop, our instructors will guide you through the steps to transform a simple square of fabric into a beautiful, reusable wrap. This practice emphasizes thoughtful, intentional movements, helping you approach gift-giving with care and creativity.

What you’ll learn
  • Mindful Wrapping: Bojagi encourages slow, deliberate movements as you fold and tie the fabric. This allows you to focus on the process, bringing a sense of calm to your wrapping.
  • Sustainability: By using reusable fabric instead of paper and plastic, you’ll learn how to create beautiful wraps that reduce waste and contribute to a more sustainable way of gifting.
  • Creative Techniques: You’ll work with different fabrics and learn various folding techniques, allowing you to create personalized and unique wraps for any occasion.
  • Everyday Uses: Beyond gift wrapping, you’ll also discover how Bojagi can be used for storing items, organizing belongings, or decorating your home.

What to Expect:
  • Hands-on instruction from experienced teachers.
  • All materials provided, including a take-home Bojagi cloth made in San Francisco.
  • A relaxed, friendly environment where you can ask questions and practice the techniques.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll feel confident in your ability to wrap gifts beautifully and sustainably, and you’ll have a new appreciation for this traditional Korean craft.
