Activity details

Get your team together and learn how to make your own candles. This workshop is equal parts precision and creativity. Every finished candle will be unique, just like every human in your group.


What to expect

  • 15 minutes: introduction to candle making and scents
  • 30 minutes: mix your own scents and pour candles
  • 30 minutes: relax and chat as you wait for your candles to set to trim the wick

What you need

Your instructor will bring all equipment and supplies to set up your candle-making stations. Make sure you have enough table space for everyone's workstations and for the aroma bar (one table is enough). Keep in mind that the team will need to hang out for 15-30 minutes to wait for their candles to set. We recommend that you have refreshments and drinks ready for them so they can be entertained as they wait.

How do I book a team-building activity?

Can I ask questions before booking my team-building event?

Can I customize my group experience?

Yes, you are welcome to customize your experience. To customize your experience, leave us a note when you book. Some popular customizations and add-ons include:

  • Booking several hosts for one event, e.g. a sushi-making class could go great with a tea ceremony!

I started to check out but didn't pay. Is my booking confirmed?

Your host's schedule will be booked only after you pay. That’s why we recommend booking as quickly as possible and sorting out the logistics and questions later.

Can I rely on Spaciously hosts to make my team-building event a success?

Yes, we work only with highly reliable hosts. Every single one of our hosts is a small business owner. We either saw them in action, received a recommendation from another client or had a personal call to go over their proposed activity. Small business owners spend years mastering their skills. They put great care into planning your experience.

Can I bring team-building activities to my office? What if my building requires a certificate of insurance (COI)?

Definitely! Look for the badge "This host can travel to your location" on the experience you want to book. Make sure to select "My office" as your preferred location.

Some office buildings require a certificate of insurance. We will ask you to check on these requirements after you book. Our hosts can usually add your building as "additional insured" on their certificate for free but this may take a few days. In addition, there may be some back-and-forth with your building management to agree on the coverage. Don't worry: we'll guide you through the process. If you need a last-minute certificate of insurance, we will help you buy one (the average cost of one-off event insurance is around $150).

I like a group activity that isn't available in my city yet. Can you add it for me?

It'll be our pleasure! We can easily find reliable hosts anywhere in the U.S. because the community of small business owners and artisans is interconnected. We can usually make any experience bookable on Spaciously within a few days.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. You can securely enter your payment details by following the payment process on our website.

If you need to run team building or wellness events regularly, we are happy to send invoices to your accounting software.

I'm booking for a large group. Can I get a discount?

Large group discounts are applied automatically for groups over 50 guests.

Can I cancel my booking and get a refund?

Cancel seven calendar days before your event and get a full refund. All other cancelations are not refundable. However, if the experience host agrees, you can receive a voucher for the same experience on another date. Simply answer the email thread we will start with you or contact hello@spaciously.io

Can I change my reservation?

You can change your team-building event up to 7 days before your event date. In addition, you can add up to 5 people up to 3 days before the event. We are very collaborative when it comes to event adjustments. Ultimately, we all want your event to be successful because we want to be your partners for a long time!
