Heather founded Dune Brooklyn in 2021 out of a desire to create spaces and objects that cultivate a sense of sublimity, peace in solitude, and joy in rituals. Surreal natural scenes, textures, light, color, and forms provide a framework for creation in a variety of media, primarily ceramics.

We make sure all excess clay is reclaimed and recycled to make more beautiful items. To protect our planet, we strive for paper-over-plastic practices and sustainable packaging as much as possible. However, we do reuse all packaging from supply and equipment shipments (especially bubble wrap) - so please note your packaging may show signs of reuse.

Dune Brooklyn partners with One Tree Planted to restore ecosystems that have been degraded and deforested.

About this activity

Channel the bacchanalia spirit. Eat fruit! Drink sweet nectar! Pick flowers! Lay in the sun! Ground yourself through the ancient art of handmade ceramics. A lasting form—amphora vases come in many shapes and sizes, and historically held wine, oil, or grain in ancient Greco-Roman times. Our vases will be formed through a variety of methods, using our hands, a select few tools, and a day-dream design.

What you'll do

Use a variety of methods to form your amphora vase, incorporating your own design ideas. You'll use your hands and select pottery tools to shape the clay. Your finished piece will be glazed and fired to completion.

What to prepare

All materials, including a set of basic pottery tools, clay, and glaze will be provided. Wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty, as pottery can be messy.

  • Firing services are included, so you can pick up your finished piece later.
  • Enjoy harmonious vibes and good tunes while you work.

Booking with Spaciously

Book an activity with a few clicks

To book, follow the secure checkout process on the website. This will reserve your host's time.

If you need extra help with anything, just leave us a note in the "Comments" field! We're happy to help with food and venue recommendations.

After you check out, you will receive a confirmation email and a receipt. Very shortly after that, our team will reach out to connect you with your host and help with the logistics and questions!

Expect no extra fees or charges

All prices are upfront. There are no extra charges beyond what you pay when you book. In 99% of cases, hosts won't ask for tips because they're already included in the price.

All activities are private

All activities you see on Spaciously are private. You will get a dedicated instructor. You will also get either an entire venue or a section of a venue to yourselves.

All activities are available

If our calendar allows you to pick a date and time, your activity is available! In the rare scenario that your host has an emergency and can't make the date, it's our responsibility to find you a substitute host or a substitute activity quickly. If you don't like the options, we'll send you a full refund.

Ask us a question

We are here to make sure your team gets the event they will enjoy. Helping you find the best activity for your team is the best part of our job. Send us a chat message, a text (415 798-0382) or an email (hello@spaciously.io). If you contact us in the morning or early afternoon, we'll respond in a few minutes.

Trust Spaciously hosts

We work only with highly reliable hosts. Every single one of our hosts is a small business owner. We either saw them in action, received a recommendation from another client or had a personal call to go over their proposed activity. Small business owners spend years mastering their skills. They put great care into planning your experience.

Organize a team-building activity at your office

People love when they don't have to go out of their way for team-building. Invite the activity host to travel to your venue by selecting the option "My venue/office."

Some building management companies don't allow certain activities, e.g. cooking if you don't have a kitchen. Make sure you check this before you book.

Most buildings require a certificate of insurance. A one-off certificate of insurance costs ~$150 online, but 99% of the time, our hosts can provide one for free. There may be some back-and-forth with your building management to agree on the coverage, but we are happy to collaborate with you on this.

Cancel or change your reservation

Refer to the cancelation policy on each listing when you book to see how much time you have to cancel your reservation. To cancel, answer the email thread we will start with you or contact hello@spaciously.io.

Regardless of the cancelation policy, hosts usually allow you to move the time of your booking a bit or to add a few more people. We are very collaborative when it comes to small event adjustments. Ultimately, we all want your event to be successful because we want to be your partners for a long time!

Reviews of Spaciously

I had a concierge service except the price wasn’t a secret. I knew exactly what I was getting. And the communication was right there with it.
